Open MRI
The Bone and Joint Surgery Clinic's MRI unit is the only open MRI available in Wake County and surrounding areas. Our MRI unit is open (non-claustrophobic) and allows the best imaging possible without many of the problems associated with closed MRI units. It is designed specifically for Orthopaedic imaging. It is the most advanced MRI unit of its kind available today and is only available at The Bone and Joint Surgery Clinic. The Open MRI (MRJ = MRI "Joints") is installed in our office, resulting in shorter waiting times and improved convenience.
The MRJ is designed to image all extremity regions and joints (shoulder, arm, elbow, forearm, wrist, hand, hip, thigh, knee, calf, ankle, foot). *No spine or neck.
The MRJ was installed to serve the patients of The Bone and Joint Surgery Clinic. Outside physicians may utilize the service - just call our office to schedule an appointment. The MRI diskette will be sent with the patient and to the referring physician.
